How does Cytocentrics assure the quality of the Instant Cells?

Cytocentrics provides pre-validated batches of Instant Cells which express a stable transfected ion channel. Each lot is analyzed using manual patch-clamp analysis and complies with the following requirements: A minimum of 80% of the total cells must achieve a gigaseal ( >1 GOhm) and the whole-cell configuration. A successfully completed experiment is defined as follows: a.) Currents must be stable for a minimum of 25 minutes (> 500 MOhm). b.) A maximum rundown/ runup of 30% is allowed during the 25 minutes measurement. The peak current should not fail below a defined value (the value depends on the ion channel transfected, please refer to the data sheets). For details, please contact Cytocentrics AG.
