Well-characterized and optimized cell lines are essential for reliable data generation. In close consultation with our customers, we carry out cell line characterization, cell line optimization for patch clamp assays, and the adaptation to the Instant Cells System. The final result is an ion channel cell line offering the utmost efficiency and consistency for automated and manual patch clamp assays.
After receiving a customer cell line, we first start the cell culture and evaluate the existing protocol.
Our specialists determine the growth characteristics and evaluate the electrophysiological characteristics of the customer’s cell line.
Parameters such as seal rate and whole cell rate, current, and cell stability are optimized for automated or manual patch clamp assays. Depending on the customer’s requirements, we optimize culture conditions, buffer compositions and pulse protocol.
Adaptation of the customer’s cell line to the Instant Cells systems brings great flexibility to daily lab work. The Instant Cells are ready to use in less than 15 minutes after unfreezing, and need no further cultivation. Researchers can instantly start with the cell assay.
We confirm that every batch containing Instant Cells meets very high quality standards. A quality assurance certificate guarantees that only vital and electrophysiologically validated cell lines will be sent to our customers.
