BREAKTHROUGH IN CYTOPATCH™ CHIP TECHNOLOGY

Cytocentrics and BionChip now announce the completion of the CytoPatch™ Alpha Chip. The chip has been the long-awaited compliment to our CytoPatch™ Automat system. With this final development we can enable scientists to perform high-throughput and high-quality patch clamping. The disposable CytoPatchTM Alpha Chip is composed of a micro machined quartz glass with an access resistance of less than 5 MO. The CYTOCENTERING and CytoPatchTM Channels meet at the centre of the chip and form two small openings for cell positioning and contacting. This patent-pending structure allows for excellent high-yield gigaseal patch-clamping.
