Cytocentrics CCS GmbH changes type of company to Cytocentrics AG

Reutlingen, Germany - August 2004. Cytocentrics announces that it has changed its type of company from Cytocentrics CCS GmbH to Cytocentrics AG

The change from a limited liability company to an incorporation is a consequence of the growing product enquiry abroad. The company is currently working on the product launch of CytoPatch10™, a 1-3 channel machine for automated Patch Clamping.

The management team remains unchanged. The company still has two executive directors, namely Dr. Christa Nutzhorn (president) and Dr. Thomas Knott (CEO). Dr. Alfred Stett who founded Cytocentrics together with Dr. Thomas Knott in 2001 continues his work as Chief Scientific Officer.

Three high-level industry executives continue to serve as members of the Board of Directors of the Cytocentrics AG. The Cytocentrics Board of Director appointees are:

• Peter Sygall, Chief Executive Officer of Fluxxion
• Karl-Heinz Boven, Chief Executive Officer of Multi Channel Systems
• Dr. Enzio Müller, president and managing director of the Natural and Medical Sciences Institute NMI

Dr. Müllers has appointed to be the new chairman of the board of directors. Nobel Laureate Professor Erwin Neher and Neuro-Chip Expert Professor Peter Fromherz still form the Scientific Board of the company.
